Norah Jones is an American singer/songwriter, and pianist. She has won multiple awards and her albums have sold more than 50 million records worldwide.Billboard named her the top jazz artist of the 2000s decade. She has won nine Grammy Awards and was ranked 60th on Billboard magazine’s artists of the 2000s decade chart.
Jones is the daughter of Indian sitarist and composer Ravi Shankar and concert producer Sue Jones, and is the half-sister of fellow musicians Anoushka Shankar and Shubhendra Shankar.
Morgan Pirtle pays tribute to Norah Jones, with an intimate evening of song with her jazz combo.
Morgan Pirtle is a versatile vocalist, composer, and educator in Chicago. She blends jazz and contemporary influences to create ethereal and impactful soundscapes. She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s (UIC) Jazz Studies program. You can find her performing all over Chicago-land.
