Kendre’ Music was formed by world renowned drummer, Mr. Chris Miskel. Chris has toured/played with Brian Culbertson, Will Downing, Boz Scaggs, David Sanborn, and many more. Kendre Music’s feature for the night will be the amazing pianist/vocalist, Mr. Walter English III.

Ivy Ford

Petra Van Nuis

Petra van Nuis is a jazz vocalist who has been described in Downbeat Magazine as having “a light, gorgeous, and fairly delicate voice…a gift for melody and plenty of rhythmic confidence.” Petra performs regularly at Chicago’s prominent venues including the Jazz Showcase, the Green Mill, Winter’s and Andy’s Jazz Club. Petra has recorded five CDs, three of which have been re-released in Japan and used as in flight music for All Nippon Airways (Japan’s largest airline).

Morry Sochat & The Special 20s

Morry Sochat and The Special 20’s are bringing a fresh sound to the Chicago Blues scene. They mix classic Chicago Blues with Swing and Rock N’ Roll from the 1950’s. The band is influenced by the best in blues history. Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Louis Jordan, Junior Wells, and all of the Chicago greats.

Brother John Kattke

Brother John has been a resident musician at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago for 30 years. For more than a quarter of a century he has scoured the clubs of the city, taking turns on guitar or keyboards, when he’s not directing studio horn arrangements or playing keyboards on some albums, such as the latest Toronzo Cannon release, “The Chicago Way.” He has played with Eric Clapton, Steve Miller, the Black Crowes, and acquired ringing endorsements from many other musicians of renown.

LaShera Moore

Singer LaShera Moore is a recent graduate of Columbia College and has already performed with such greats as: Mavis Staples, Ivan Neville, Bobbi Wilson, Bob Mintzer, as well as Darmon Meador and Peter Eldridge of the New York Voices, leaving them all breathless with her outstanding skills. As a Chicago native, LaShera was selected by Chicago’s late first lady, Maggie Daley to be a featured vocalist in her After School Matters’ Advanced Arts Educational Program.

Cole DeGenova

As a pianist, vocalist, producer, and composer Cole has released 3 albums of original music and is currently working on his fourth, co-produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow, to be released 2019. Also an in-demand studio musician and touring performer, he has recorded and/or performed with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Gallant, Brett Dennen, Lupe Fiasco and may more.
